Melba are native to the South Turrican Ocean. They are typically anadromous: they hatch in the shallow gravel beds of freshwater headstreams and migrate to the ocean after the conclusion of the juvenile months.



Melba play a key role in Anarkian commerce as they are an important food fish and are intensively farmed in many of the southern countries of Anarkand such as, Freemor, Western and Eastern Iola, and the island of Qura.



There are currently efforts by the Temple of Anark to introduce Melba to other non-native environments such as the Great Lakes, eastern rivers, and other oceans.
