The Banthrax are the storm-blooded sovereigns of the Klescha Marshlands, towering silhouettes rising through fog and reed like ancient war idols. Seven feet tall at full height, balanced upon two immense, piston-thick hind legs, they carry four muscled arms that move with unnerving coordination. When they advance through shallow water, the surface barely ripples, then suddenly erupts as they strike.


The Matriarchs, slightly smaller at just over six feet, are the true minds of the Banthrax. Their glowing yellow eyes burn like twin lanterns in the mist, steady and calculating. The Alphas, larger and broader, possess green-gleaming eyes that flicker brighter when roused to fury. Where the Matriarchs plan, the Alphas execute. Where the Alphas rage, the Matriarchs restrain. Together, they form a balanced hierarchy built on strength, strategy, and brutal pragmatism.


Long before their exile, the Banthrax once roamed the western plains of Klescha, hunting the river valleys and nesting in limestone caverns that honeycombed the region. Their early society was fractured into competing clans, each led by its own Matriarch, often warring among themselves for territory. This division proved catastrophic during a series of devastating campaigns launched by expanding Kleschan city-states many eras ago. Fire was their great enemy. The marshes became a prison, the plains were lost, and the Banthrax were driven eastward into the sodden wilderness.


For centuries, they survived but did not thrive. Clan fought clan in the choking wetlands. Resources were scarce. Hatchlings perished. Their numbers dwindled.


But, something changed in the 11th Era that began uniting them as one, and now in the 12th era...a storm is coming...
