About

Levantes may look extremely intimidating, but a gentler soul does not exist in the darkest reaches of the forests in Southern Pescara. His fate was not his choosing. Levantes was a noble warrior of a race known as the Fener, hailing from Poseidon, a distant world in the Malachi Star System. Poseidon, a planet known for its vast oceans and technologically advanced civilization, had succumbed to environmental disasters and incessant wars. Seeking refuge and a new beginning, Levantes, along with a group of around 500 survivors from Poseidon, embarked on a journey across the cosmos to find a new home.

In the pre-1st era of Anarkand, their ship landed on the planet’s surface. Seemingly welcomed by a large group to the north of Kumantarakis, Levantes and his crew hoped to establish a new settlement and rebuild their lives on this alien world. However, their dreams were quickly shattered.

Upon their arrival, the Fener were hunted down by an unidentified alien race. These beings, whose nature and origin are unknown, captured Levantes and his people one by one. Levantes, despite his formidable skills and bravery, could not save his comrades from the horrific fate that awaited them.

Levantes and the other Fener, were subjected to unthinkable torture. For Levantes, he would be the only one to survive the horror of the forest. His arms and legs were surgically removed, his torso was extracted, and his head was fused with the forest floor of Southern Pescara. This grotesque fusion was done through a series of painful experiments and surgeries, designed to artificially keep him alive while synchronizing his consciousness with the forest itself.

As Levantes’s head became entwined with the roots and soil of the Pescara forest, he was left immobile, a mere head without a body. The roots of the forest became his veins and nerves, binding his life force to the ecosystem around him. While he could still speak, his voice was weak and filled with the sorrow of his eternal torment.

Levantes recounted the horrors he endured to the Pescarans, the inhabitants of the forest region. He spoke of the relentless pain, the barbaric experiments, and the loss of his comrades. Of the 500 who had landed with him, he alone survived the brutality, transformed into an immortal sentinel of suffering.

The Pescarans, moved by his plight, became the guardians and protectors of Levantes. They built a sanctuary around his location, ensuring that he remained undisturbed and cared for. Levantes’s existence became a closely guarded secret, known only to a few trusted members of their society.

Though he can no longer move or fight, Levantes’s spirit endures, intertwined with the very essence of the forest. The Pescarans honour him, ensuring that his legacy lives on and that the lessons of his ordeal are never forgotten.
