A b o u t
In the mid west of Anarkand stands Tara, a nation of great power, riches, and resources. It sits to the west of Baalmark and north of Villarakis. Its capital is Thinaikos, a city of glass precision and measured ambition. Tara is one of the richest nations on Anarkand and it did not need to conquer in order to accomplish its status.
THE RISE OF A SILENT GIANT
Unlike nations forged in war or spiritual doctrine, Tara’s ascent was engineered. Blessed with an abundance of rare elements, stable mineral deposits, and access to consistent Red Hex energy bands, Tara recognised early that the future of Anarkand would run on systems rather than swords.
They invested heavily in education, metallurgy, and computational sciences. Over generations, this matured into industrial supremacy.
Today, Tara specialises in the development and export of:
• Integrated circuits and semiconductors
• Communication devices
• Computers and data processing machines
• Heavy machinery
• Mechanical power generators
• Aircraft and spacecraft
From microscopic wafers etched with impossible precision to aerospace hulls designed for upper atmosphere traversal, Tara produces the skeletal and nervous systems of a lot of modern Anarkand. If another nation builds a satellite, there is a strong chance a Tara chip is thinking inside it.
THINAIKOS
Districts are zoned with near surgical precision. Research corridors connect directly to manufacturing hubs. Aerospace docks stretch along the city’s outer perimeter, where test craft ascend almost daily. At night, Thinaikos does not blaze wildly with light. Its glow is cool, restrained, purposeful. Energy efficiency is treated not as virtue signalling but as operational doctrine.
The city’s architecture reflects its philosophy. Clean lines. Functional symmetry. Infrastructure that anticipates growth rather than reacting to it. There are no monumental statues. No towering idols. The skyline itself is the monument.
THE 12E ALLIANCE DECISION
When the 12e Alliance sought Tara’s inclusion, it seemed inevitable. An industrial powerhouse with aerospace capability would strengthen any coalition.
Tara declined.
The decision was not dramatic. No denunciations. No ideological speeches. Their reasoning was pragmatic. Alliance membership would require strategic obligations. Shared defence commitments. Potential entanglement in conflicts that did not directly concern Tara’s sovereignty. It was due to this fact that Tara’s leadership concluded that neutrality paired with strength was the optimal configuration.
They fortified their borders.
Expanded their domestic defence grid.
Modernised their armed forces.
They maintain a strong military on standby, technologically advanced and exceptionally well supplied. It is not aggressive. It is not deployed recklessly.
It is prepared.
MILITARY DOCTRINE
Tara’s military philosophy is deterrence through undeniable capability. Their air force integrates domestically produced aerospace engineering with advanced targeting systems derived from their semiconductor industry. Their naval and ground systems are built on precision manufacturing that few can rival.
They do not conduct expansionist exercises beyond their borders, nor do they impose influence on smaller nations. Despite this, no strategist mistakes Tara's restraint for weakness.
RESOURCE WEALTH
Tara’s prosperity is underpinned by resource abundance. Rare metals essential for chip fabrication are mined domestically. Mechanical generator components are sourced locally. Aerospace alloys are refined within their own borders.
This vertical integration shields Tara from supply vulnerabilities that destabilise other economies.
Where many nations rely on trade webs, Tara relies on itself first.
Trade exists. Exports are vast. But dependence is minimal.
GLOBAL POSITION
Tara does not oppose other nations. It does not impede world affairs. It does not interfere in ideological disputes or territorial conflicts unless directly threatened.
Its diplomacy is steady and understated.
If a nation requires high grade processors, Tara supplies.
If a nation needs advanced machinery, Tara negotiates.
But if a conflict erupts between neighbours, Tara does not choose sides.
It observes.
TARA TODAY
Tara is a paradox of openness and insulation.
Its technology is everywhere across Anarkand.
Its influence is woven invisibly into aircraft, networks, generators, and spacecraft.
Yet politically, it stands apart.
It is wealthy without flamboyance.
Armed without aggression.
Engaged without entanglement.
In a world of alliances and rivalries, Tara chose something different.
Precision.
Self reliance.
Readiness.
And in Thinaikos, as another domestically built spacecraft lifts into the upper atmosphere, there is no anthem playing.
Only the quiet confidence of a nation that engineered its own future.
