In the days long past, even before the memory of men, there came a stirring upon the Earth, and the currents of knowledge and power were awakened.

And in the fullness of time, Emki, philosopher, seeker, and scholar of hidden truths, arose among men. Yea, he turned his mind to both shadow and light, mastering the energies that flow unseen, and from his hand the Anarkian way of life was restored.

A long forgotten mantra of man. Gone, yet restored.

And he called forth the children of understanding, and the men and women of steadfast hearts, of intellect keen and will unshaken, and he said unto them:

“Let your soul wander free. Bind it not in chains of fear, nor imprison it within the ignorance of man.”

For behold, mankind hath known intervention in many moments, and the hand of another world, even Anarkand, hath touched our Earth, shaping its course, granting it sustenance and growth. Yet what we have become is but a shadow, a weak reflection of the potential that lies within all humanity.

For all the aid that was given, for all the wisdom passed down by unseen hands, still hath mankind clung to strife and folly. Though granted the tools to rise above corruption and dominion, we stand yet at the pinnacle of ruin, and the eyes of men look upon it and turn away.

But Sujira hath always cared. Yea, from the beginning she hath reached forth in guidance, and in her mercy hath she whispered wisdom unto those who would hear.

Many have heeded her voice; many have walked in her light. Yet the greater multitude hath turned away, deaf to her warnings, blind to her counsel.

It is now the hour, saith she, that we awaken, that we lift our minds, our hearts, and our Essence, and heed her call.

And Emki did gather the chosen, teaching them the secrets of the Earth and of the energies that surround it. And he spake unto them:

“There are no gods save those which men have forged in the fires of desire and fear. The great tales of men are but shadows, born from longing and from the wish for hope where all hope was gone. But we shall seek the truth, not the illusions of mortal mind.”

And he revealed unto them the law of Essence, that which flows through all beings, binding life to life, and man to the cosmos. Yea, he taught that the universe is all, and that it calleth unto us, as we are called unto it.

And the Brotherhood was formed, hidden in the secret places of the Earth, stewards of knowledge, keepers of the currents, and guardians of the path to understanding.

And Emki said unto them:

“Heed the teachings of Sujira. Preserve the knowledge. Let the light of understanding guide your deeds. And when the hour cometh, when the worlds converge and the anchor of the skies is revealed, ye shall stand ready, children of the Earth and of Anarkand, keepers of Essence, and servants of the eternal currents.”

And thus began the chronicles of the Anarkian Brotherhood, written in the hidden places, carried in the hearts of the chosen, and whispered by the currents of life and energy across the Earth.

And so it was, and so it shall endure, until the return of Anarkand, and the fullness of understanding is made manifest unto those who are ready to perceive it.
