Trenz Huelsbeck built five of these ships in the late 1990's. The Battlestar design document initially details a battle-ready cargo ship that was to be capable of extensive solar system travel. The initial name for the craft was the Sol Hulker, but this would change to its current designation, the Trenz Battlestar.


The changes were implemented upon the discovery of Anarkand. Trenz realised that they weren't prepared for war beyond low Earth orbit and began redesigning the craft and adding more and more functionality to the design.


With a weapon grading of C, the Battlestar is a formidable ship. It is capable of carrying up to 50 crew members and has safety features such as boasting 15 two-man escape pods.
