The Mecka-Tek Gaia can carry up to twenty of these smaller vessels known affectionately as Mecka Pods. Only twenty can ever be operational once deployed from its parent ship, the Gaia, however upon the destruction of a pod, another can immediately be deployed.


This limitation is down to the power that is required to operate such machines. The artificial intelligence on board the Gaia, cannot orchestrate the control and manipulation of too many vessels at once and as such limits itself in this way to protect overload and computational failures.


The Mecka Pods are unmanned, again utilising A.I. They are extremely quick, very nimble, and have advanced targeting systems that are matched in weapon strength. Defensively they are not the most robust.
